Diploma of Specialization in Culture & Civilization of Current Spain, Tourism and Hospitality

• Spanish culture and civilization – 30 hours
• Recent history of the West and current Spain – 30 hours
• Introduction to local development – 60 hours
• Social economy 60 hours
• Tourism and local development 60 hours
• Entrepreneurship in tourism activity 60 hours

MODULE 3 – HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT COURSE – 150H

Tourism in Spain in the 21st century – IHMGS in collaboration with Ecotur Valencia.

• Structuring of the tourism sector – 25 hours
• Human Resources in accommodations – 25 hours
• Marketing applied to tourism – 25 hours
• Protocol and public relations – 25 hours
• Management of tourist accommodation – 25 hours
• Training and job orientation – 25 hours

PERIOD 4 – PAID INTERNSHIP – 3 Months

Aimed at young people between 18 and 35 years old that have completed secondary studies or vocational training in a related field, and want to pursue studies in Spain.

The access requirements are:

• XIIth grade / Senior High School / Baccalaureat
• ESSENTIAL medium level of English (B1-B2). Will be evaluated by interview

*Non-EU students (countries outside the European Union), must process their study visa.

From IHMGS we advise students with the study visa process. It is a TRADITIONAL STUDY VISA process. The basic documents to provide:

• Certificate of enrollment in IHMGS
• Proof of payment of the study program.
• Plan of studies to be carried out.
• Passport copy
• Study Visa Application Form + payment of Embassy fees
• Medical insurance that covers hospitalization costs of up to 30,000 euros and repatriation in case of death. Companies accepted in Spain, AXA or MAPFRE for example.
• Financial solvency: The student must demonstrate that he has 600 euros in a bank account for each month that he will stay in Spain, therefore 3,600 euros. *The embassy  sometimes understands that since the accommodation during these 6 months in Spain is covered by the study program, sometimes  does not request this requirement of financial solvency, which greatly speeds up the financial issue.
